Job Description

SUMMARY:
The
T-6 COMBS
Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing all material, parts, and supply requirements to support T-6 Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) program operations. This position ensures timely availability of materials to support aircraft maintenance, modifications, inspections, and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), as well as Time Change Interval (TCI) requirements. The Material Coordinator works closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance Control, and Site Leadership to maintain material readiness, reduce delays, and support overall aircraft availability. Reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
JOB DUTIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Coordinate the requisition, tracking, receipt, and distribution of parts, tools, kits, and materials for T-6 aircraft, engine, and support equipment maintenance. Manage SRP consumable requirements/repairable spares pool for
USN/USAF
sites. Monitor supply requests and ensure timely processing through supply and procurement systems. Work with Procurement and Vendors to follow up on orders, shipments, and backorders. Maintain accurate material status in logistics, supply, and maintenance tracking systems (e.g., NALCOMIS, OOMA, or equivalent). Track material priorities to support scheduled maintenance, TCTO/TD/TCI requirements, and unscheduled repairs. Ensure parts and kits are staged and available ahead of scheduled maintenance actions. Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate with Warehouse personnel for storage, issue, and returns. Validate part numbers, interchangeability, and directive applicability using technical data and engineering instructions. Support configuration management by ensuring proper documentation of material usage. Assist with resolving material discrepancies, shipping issues, or supply delays. Prepare and submit material status reports and updates to Site Leadership and Program Management Office (PMO). Support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Perform clerical and administrative duties related to material tracking and supply documentation. Perform other duties as assigned to support mission readiness and program goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Familiarity with maintenance and supply systems (SAP or equivalent). Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, part catalogs, and directives. Experience in aviation supply, logistics, maintenance support, or material coordination preferred. Experience in military or contractor aviation environment preferred. Experience with maintenance or supply systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of aviation supply chain, material coordination, or logistics processes (preferred). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, supply, procurement, and program personnel. Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve material-related issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive program data. High level of integrity and commitment to quality and compliance. This position pays $31.25/hr. per SCA and is non-negotiable.
