Materials Coordinator
Hahnville
, LA
Material Handling
Contract The Materials Coordinator supports daily warehouse and materials management operations by ensuring accurate receipt, handling, staging, and movement of materials throughout the site. This role is responsible for order pulling, receiving shipments, completing inventory-related system transactions, operating material handling equipment, and working closely with site personnel to support operational needs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
Pull and stage material orders from warehouse shelving for operational use
Receive incoming shipments and unload trucks (motor freight, FedEx/UPS, hot shots) using forklifts and other equipment as needed
Open and inspect incoming packages, verify shipment contents, and perform accurate item counts
Process inventory and receiving transactions using SAP Mobility systems (including goods receipts and related activities)
Handle repetitive daily package processing, averaging 200-300 packages per day depending on volume
Support multiple warehouse departments based on daily assignment and business needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with site and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with a diverse workforce and communicate effectively with site personnel to ensure timely material availability
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Requirements
Basic computer aptitude required
Forklift experience preferred (or willingness/ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment)
Experience with SAP Mobility or similar inventory/warehouse transaction systems preferred
Core Competencies
Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures
High attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying materials
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with employees across multiple departments
Compliance Requirements
Valid TWIC card required
Active/valid driver's license required
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift and handle packages averaging approximately 25 lbs
Ability to perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift
Ability to work in warehouse conditions and operate material handling equipment safely Why work with us?
