Procurement Coordinator (Supply Chain & Logistics Support)

Location:

Hybrid in Covington, LA 6-to-12-month contract opportunity Our client is expanding a critical operational footprint and needs a highly organized procurement professional who can help keep materials, vendors, and internal teams moving in sync. This contract opportunity offers the chance to step into a fast-moving environment where your work directly supports project execution, cross functional collaboration, and on time readiness for important field and facility initiatives. It is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys balancing purchasing coordination, reporting, and logistics follow through in a team-oriented setting. This Role Offers Hybrid schedule in the Covington area, with an expected onsite presence of about 2 days per week Strong exposure to procurement operations tied to project-based work Collaborative environment with training support for the right local candidate Opportunity to partner with technical, facilities, and program stakeholders in a visible support role Focus Support purchasing workflow for equipment and services needed to keep field and facility projects on schedule Request, compare, and organize vendor quotes, lead times, and order status updates for internal teams Maintain Excel based trackers and reporting for open orders, inbound materials, and milestone readiness Coordinate shipment timing and delivery details with suppliers, carriers, and site stakeholders Partner with program, engineering, facilities, and operations contacts to surface risks early and keep priorities aligned Help document procurement activity in ERP tools and ensure records are accurate for downstream teams Provide day-to-day follow-through on procurement tasks in a fast-moving project setting with changing priorities Contribute to a dependable handoff of materials so teams have what they need, when and where they need it Skill Set 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics coordination, or a similar operations support function Stronger alignment to procurement than transportation only or warehouse only experience Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, reporting, and data organization Comfort working in a project driven environment with multiple moving parts Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal partners High attention to detail, follow through, and organizational discipline Ability to learn technical context and communicate clearly with cross functional teams Experience with ERP platforms is preferred, with additional value placed on NetSuite exposure Exposure to global shipments, infrastructure related programs, or materials coordination is a plus Candidates in the local Covington market are preferred, though highly experienced remote talent with the ability to ramp quickly may also be considered
