COPY LINK link Adecco is assisting a client in recruiting for a Production Planner in Somerset, NJ. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. The Production Planner is responsible for developing and executing short- and long-term capacity plans using SAP. This role balances market demand with production capabilities, efficiencies,ponent availability, and labor requirements to ensure uninterrupted supply. Success in this role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain service levels, minimize downtime, and optimize costs. Key Responsibilities Lead weekly operational meetings with internal and external production teams to review production plans, staffing needs, priorities, and operational challenges Develop and maintain capacity and production plans using SAP/APO, aligning demand requirements with manufacturing and co-pack capabilities Coordinate the receipt of bulk materials and manage defrost timing to ensure finished-goods quality Monitor production floor performance and adjust schedules as needed to maintain service levels and efficiencies Participate in cross-functional alignment meetings to address production constraints, risks, and deadlines Communicate with top-tier suppliers to monitor output and product availability while coordinatingponent releases to minimize third-party warehousing costs Respond quickly and accurately to demand and supply changes to reduce production downtime Partner closely with Sales and Customer Service to ensure finished goods availability for customer orders Provide weekly visibility to management on potential out-of-stock risks and delayed customer orders Qualifications & Experience 3-5 years of capacity or production planning experience within a manufacturing environment Intermediate SAP experience required (APO strongly preferred) Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP Strong understanding of production operations, material flows, and supply chain dynamics Prior experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) preferred Proven ability to develop and implement standardized processes Stronganizational skills with the ability to multitask and managepeting priorities Excellentmunication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Schedule:
8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, Monday- Friday, fully onsite during training in Somerset, NJ then 4 days a week in office, 1 day remote
Pay Details:
