The Job at a Glance As a Purchasing Intern, you'll work directly with our Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to evaluate and improve ordering processes, transportation spend, and inventory strategies. This role focuses on balancing cost efficiency and customer experience, providing exposure to real operational decisions that impact Parts Town's bottom line. You'll analyze data, test process changes, and present findings to leadership gaining experience in supply chain optimization within a high-growth organization. A Typical Day Analyze purchasing and ordering patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities Evaluate inbound transportation spend and service-level performance Review and assess stocking strategies for cut-to-length parts Track performance metrics related to cost, service, and customer experience Collaborate with Purchasing, Transportation, and Finance teams Prepare analysis summaries and final recommendations for process improvements To Land This Opportunity You're pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field You enjoy analyzing data to uncover insights and improvement opportunities You're comfortable communicating findings and recommendations to others You have strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills You're detail-oriented and curious about how supply chain decisions impact customers About Your Future Team We're proud of the positive, supportive culture we've built together. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role.
