Job Description

Logistics Specialist Location:
Swedesboro, NJ 08085 (On-site)
Pay Rate:
$19.00/hr
Job Type:
6-Month Contract (Potential for extension or permanent hire) About the Role Join our national logistic clients team in Swedesboro as a Logistics Specialist. This is a dynamic, hybrid role that blends office administration with active warehouse operations. You will be the primary point of contact for order entry, routing, and traffic coordination, ensuring our freight moves smoothly from point A to point B.
Shift Schedule Hours:
12:00 PM - 8:30
PM Days:
5 days per week.
Note:
Sunday is always closed. Your second day off during the week may fluctuate based on operational needs.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like System Management:
Maintain customer profiles and enter load data from tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
Communication:
Update account managers on "problem loads" and provide status updates to receivers and customers.
Monitoring:
Track daily pickups and deliveries to ensure cargo arrives on time and in pristine condition.
Driver Support:
Take check-calls from drivers to validate delivery timelines and provide detailed routing instructions.
Problem Solving:
Investigate overages, shortages, or damages (OS&D) and complete necessary documentation.
Scheduling:
Manage delivery appointments and accept or decline loads based on account manager guidance.
Data Integrity:
Validate all load data prior to marking it "delivered" to ensure accurate accounting. What You ll Need to
Excel Experience:
At least 1 year of logistics or transportation experience.
Industry Knowledge:
A solid understanding of the transportation industry and freight movement.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
This is a hybrid role; you must be comfortable standing for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
Tech Savvy:
