Monday-Friday, approximately 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Position Overview We are seeking a Procurement Operations Specialist for a short-term contract assignment expected to last approximately 4-6 weeks, with potential for extension based on business needs. This onsite role will support a purchasing organization with tariff recovery activities, supplier communication, procurement documentation management, and ERP data cleanup initiatives. This position is designed to provide operational support related to backlog reduction efforts and procurement process support, with a strong focus on supplier engagement, tariff-related tracking activities, and purchasing system documentation accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring strong Excel skills, experience working with vendors and suppliers, and familiarity with procurement systems and ERP platforms, with SAP experience strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Support tariff recovery activities through supplier and vendor outreach, documentation gathering, and data validation efforts Communicate directly with external vendors and suppliers to obtain information related to tariff impacts, procurement records, and supporting documentation Maintain and update master Excel tracking files used to monitor supplier information and tariff-related cost assumptions Assist with procurement documentation management and purchasing record accuracy initiatives Perform ERP system cleanup activities and purchasing data maintenance; SAP experience strongly preferred Partner with internal purchasing, buyer, and accounts payable teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and support backlog reduction efforts Review procurement information for completeness, accuracy, and alignment across purchasing systems Track, organize, and maintain supplier records and procurement-related documentation Support operational process improvement efforts tied to purchasing workflows and system accuracy Qualifications 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain operations, supplier management, or related business operations environments Experience communicating directly with vendors, suppliers, or external business partners Familiarity with tariff processes, customs/import/export terminology, international sourcing, or related supply chain concepts preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills required ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage documentation and work effectively within established processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work onsite in Lafayette, Indiana for the duration of the assignment Additional Information This is a full-time contract opportunity anticipated to last approximately 4-6 weeks Extension beyond the initial contract period may be possible based on workload and business needs Fully onsite position; remote work is not available Morning schedule alignment is important to support collaboration across global teams Benefits information available during the recruiting process
