Pay:
$35/hr to $40/hr, (DOE) The Planet Group is looking for a Supply Network Planner to join our well-known food manufacturer brand on a contract for six to nine months. Supply Network Planner will be responsible for developing 3 - 18 months production and inventory plans, manage capacity models, support S&OP, analyze stocking policies and costs, and optimize inventory for multiple manufacturing sites.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Network Planning, Fulfillment Planning, or a closely related field. Experience working with perishable or short shelf-life materials. Hands on experience with advanced planning systems used for enterprise resource planning. Experience with network modeling & financial analysis
Job Responsibilities:
Develop weekly 3-18 months production and inventory requirements for manufacturing operations, including new product rollouts, planned operational initiatives, and seasonal product planning. Manage and develop capacity planning models for 3-5 manufacturing facilities. Conduct the monthly Supply Agreement process for designated manufacturing sites and product categories as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Establish inventory planning and production scheduling parameters to be executed by Master Production Schedulers at each supply facility. Manage working capital investments (raw materials, conversion, and finished goods) to achieve the lowest total delivered cost for assigned facilities. Develop monthly Sales & Operations Planning workbooks for Product Business Teams. Represent Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) within Product Business Teams on inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and customer service matters. Analyze and review inventory stocking policies and strategies quarterly to minimize spoilage, maximize service, and improve inventory turns. Analyze inventory investment costs and trends and ensure alignment with departmental and company objectives. Analyze total delivered costs (manufacturing + distribution) and recommend process or strategy changes to reduce supply chain cost. Provide inventory management for selected contract manufactured products. Develop and execute warehouse strategies aligned with the Distribution Center Sales & Operations Planning process.
