Full-Time Position Summary:
The Transportation Specialist is responsible for providing safe, professional, and reliable transportation services for Arbor Care Solutions staff, leadership, clients (when authorized), and business-related operations. This position supports daily agency functions by ensuring timely transportation, vehicle readiness, route coordination, and transportation documentation while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Transportation Specialist serves as a key operational support role and helps ensure that agency personnel arrive at meetings, appointments, trainings, community events, and business functions safely and on time.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransportation & Driving:
Safely transport agency leadership, staff, and approved clients to authorized business-related destinations. Maintain punctual arrival and departure schedules. Plan efficient travel routes to minimize delays and maximize productivity. Monitor traffic, weather, and road conditions to adjust routes as needed. Ensure all transportation activities comply with state and federal regulations. Assist leadership with transportation logistics during meetings, conferences, trainings, and agency events. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during all transportation activities.
Vehicle Management:
Conduct daily vehicle inspections before use. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, appearance, and operational readiness. Coordinate routine maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and repairs. Monitor fuel levels and ensure vehicles remain fueled and ready for use. Report vehicle issues immediately to management. Maintain all vehicle registration, insurance, and inspection documentation as required.
Professionalism & Appearance Standards:
The Transportation Specialist serves as a visible representative of Arbor Care Solutions and is expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, appearance, and vehicle presentation at all times.
Personal Appearance:
Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance during all scheduled work hours. Follow Arbor Care Solutions dress code and grooming standards. Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and respect when interacting with clients, staff, referral sources, vendors, and community partners. Maintain confidentiality regarding all client and agency information. Refrain from the use of inappropriate language, unprofessional conduct, or behavior that could negatively impact the reputation of Arbor Care Solutions.
Vehicle Appearance & Cleanliness:
Ensure all company vehicles remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Conduct daily cleanliness inspections before transporting staff, clients, leadership, or visitors. Remove trash, debris, food containers, and personal items from vehicles daily. Maintain clean seats, floors, windows, dashboards, mirrors, and cargo areas. Ensure vehicles are fueled, stocked, and prepared for daily operations. Immediately report vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues. Present company vehicles in a manner that reflects positively on Arbor Care Solutions and its commitment to excellence.
Professional Representation:
Serve as a positive ambassador of Arbor Care Solutions during all transportation activities. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, discretion, and professionalism. Maintain a professional demeanor during meetings, events, conferences, and community engagements. Understand that both personal appearance and vehicle appearance directly reflect the image and professionalism of Arbor Care Solutions.
Performance Expectation:
The Transportation Specialist shall maintain a professional appearance and ensure all company vehicles remain clean, organized, and business-ready at all times. Failure to maintain professional standards or vehicle cleanliness may result in corrective action.
Administrative Support:
Maintain mileage logs and transportation records. Submit vehicle maintenance reports and transportation documentation. Track transportation schedules and assignments. Assist with transporting agency materials, supplies, equipment, and documents between locations. Support operational projects as assigned by leadership. Assist with office errands, supply runs, and agency-related transportation requests.
Executive Support Functions:
Ensure leadership arrives on time to scheduled meetings and appointments. Coordinate transportation logistics for conferences, trainings, outreach events, and business travel. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting presentation materials, supplies, and equipment. Ensure leadership vehicles remain clean, fueled, and operational. Assist with dry cleaning pickup/drop-off, agency purchases, meeting preparation materials, and other business-related support functions as assigned. Maintain discretion and professionalism when supporting executive leadership. Client Support Transportation (When Authorized): Transport approved clients in accordance with agency policy. Maintain confidentiality regarding client information. Complete all required transportation documentation. Ensure client safety during transport. Follow all Arbor Care Solutions transportation policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred but not required.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience preferred. Experience in transportation, logistics, healthcare, customer service, executive support, or operational support preferred.
License Requirements:
Valid North Carolina Driver's License. Clean driving record. Clean drug test Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) review. Ability to maintain agency-approved automobile insurance requirements. Ability to pass all required background checks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent time management skills. Strong organizational abilities. Professional communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to navigate using GPS and route-planning software. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Ability to represent Arbor Care Solutions professionally in the community. Respond appropriately and professionally to emergencies, behavioral concerns, or crisis situations that may arise during transport. CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Current Naloxone (Narcan) certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire if not already certified. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the day. Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas. Ability to assist with loading and unloading materials and supplies. Work Schedule Typical schedule is Monday through Friday; however, occasional evening, weekend, or travel assignments may be required based on operational needs.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
