Job Description
- Vendor Relations Specialist (Intermediate Level)
- This role supports the Procurement, Contracting, and Vendor Relations Manager in managing and strengthening CenCal Health's relationships with nonprovider administrative service vendors. The Vendor Relations Specialist plays a key role in vendor performance oversight, contract compliance, cost optimization, and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains strong, productive relationships with nonprovider administrative service vendors.
- Monitors vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and established performance benchmarks.
- Collects and analyzes product, pricing, and performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
- Partners with department leadership on budgeting, financial management, data analysis, presentations, training initiatives, and interdepartmental requests.
- Supports procurement, contracting, and vendorrelated initiatives through effective project management and coordination. Required Skills

- Proven experience as a Vendor Relations Specialist or in a comparable role.
- Working knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Highly organized, detailoriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to interpret, implement, and administer company policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend practical, effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Demonstrated listening, negotiation, and conflictresolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Professional, responsive, and consistent when handling highpriority or timesensitive matters.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to lead and actively participate in meetings and crossfunctional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SmartSheets.

- This is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA 93110.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
