Job Description

Production Planner / Scheduler Key Responsibilities Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and inventory requirements. Prioritize workloads across fabrication machining and production areas to maximize efficiency. Coordinate with production, paint, and assembly teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time completion. Establish and communicate lead times to support successful job execution. Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and efficiency metrics. Track supplier deliveries and material movement to maintain production schedules. Maintain inventory records, safety stock levels, and supplier lead times within ERP systems. Identify and communicate material shortages to production personnel. Analyze production data and recommend process improvements. Create and maintain documentation related to equipment and production processes. Provide occasional support outside normal business hours when needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Materials Science, or related field preferred. 2+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience in high-mix, discrete manufacturing environments with numerous SKUs preferred. APICS certification is a plus. Experience with fabrication operations is highly desirable. Required Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; SQL and data warehouse experience preferred. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, and warehousing. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience with
MAPICS/AS400
systems is a plus.
Pay:
