Job Description

Intern/Temporary Supply Chain Material Planner to join our team in Camden, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in supply chain and manufacturing, or for an experienced material planner seeking a temporary assignment with a global industry leader. As part of our Supply Chain team, you will support material planning, vendor communications, inventory management, and reporting activities that help keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to SAP and supply chain processes, and make a meaningful contribution to a growing organization. Key Responsibilities Material Planning (80%) Assist in distributing material planning requirements by sending releases to vendors Transmit EDI releases to the vendor base accurately and on time Maintain open and effective communication with vendors regarding orders and requirements In-Transit Reporting (10%) Generate and publish the weekly In-Transit Report Monitor and track incoming materials to ensure visibility and accuracy Inventory Support (10%) Assist with cycle counting activities as requested Support inventory accuracy initiatives Additional Responsibilities Collect and organize data through vendor portals and internal plant systems Communicate professionally via email and telephone with both internal teams and external vendors Complete additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Supply Chain Manager Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Core Competencies Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Basic understanding of email communication and professional correspondence Strong attention to detail Ability to gather, organize, and manage data Effective interpersonal and one-on-one communication skills (written and verbal) Problem-solving Organizational and time management skills Collaboration and cross-functional partnership Technical Skills SAP experience preferred Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Office & Manufacturing or production environment Exposure to equipment or machinery Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods Ability to communicate effectively in the work environment Frequent interaction with vendors and internal departments Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
