Job Description

Production Planner Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Planner to optimize production workflows. This role is responsible for creating, coordinating, and adjusting production schedules to ensure materials, labor, and equipment are aligned - enabling efficient operations and meeting customer demand. Duties Develop and maintain production schedules to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure on-time delivery Drive on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance goals through coordination across multiple manufacturing sites Manage and reduce past-due orders through proactive planning and prioritization Release and monitor work orders on a daily basis in alignment with production needs Analyze demand, inventory, capacity, and material availability to build accurate production plans Partner cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and customer support teams Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to account for delays, shortages, or demand changes Evaluate requirements for raw materials, equipment, and labor Identify and resolve production constraints, including bottlenecks and quality concerns Analyze data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities Maintain accurate records of schedules, inventory, and work-in-progress Communicate production status and updates to internal stakeholders Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality Provide delivery updates to customer-facing teams Skills Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (or equivalent certifications such as APICS) 5+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working in high-SKU or complex manufacturing settings Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong organizational and time management abilities High attention to detail
