Job Description

  • Only qualified Supply Chain Intern candidates located near Sumter, South Carolina area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence
  • Required Education
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related fieldRequired Experience
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and formulas
  • Internship or project experience in supply chain or data analysis is a plusTechnical Skills
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems with SAP preferred
  • Ability to perform data validation and data cleansing activities
  • Experience with reporting, tracking, and data analysis
  • Basic understanding of Lean principles preferredSoft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Support purchase order management activities including tracking open orders, confirmations, and delivery updates
  • Follow up with suppliers on past-due orders and critical shortages to ensure continuity of supply
  • Maintain and update procurement trackers including open PO reports, shortage lists, and supplier follow-up logs
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly procurement reports
  • Support on-time delivery performance tracking
  • Support lead time tracking activities
  • Assist with past-due order and risk analysis reporting
  • Perform supplier and material master data validation and cleansing
  • Support inventory and material flow analysis by reviewing stock levels, shortages, and excess inventory trends
  • Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance teams to resolve supply and invoice issues
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Assist in converting manual processes into digital tools using Excel and SharePoint
  • Support standardization of reporting templates and trackers
  • Assist with documentation of procurement procedures and SOPs
  • Support supplier performance tracking and reporting for internal reviews
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Procurement team as needed
