Addison Group is partnering with a growing distribution organization to identify a Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator. This individual will join a lean, collaborative team supporting a rapidly expanding logistics operation with both domestic and international shipping activity.
Job Description:
The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in managing transportation, shipment visibility, inventory-related processes, and logistics administration. This position supports the movement of imported products from overseas suppliers through warehouse locations and final customer destinations while helping maintain accurate records and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving transportation issues as needed.
  • Coordinate domestic and international freight movements, including ocean, air, and ground transportation.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading and related logistics paperwork.
  • Partner with carriers, freight providers, warehouse partners, and internal departments to support daily logistics operations.
  • Review freight invoices and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter and maintain logistics, inventory, and shipment data within company systems.
  • Respond to shipment status inquiries and assist with transportation and import-related questions.
  • Support inventory tracking and reporting activities across warehouse locations.
  • Assist with supply chain initiatives related to inventory planning and production support as business needs evolve.
  • Generate reports and analyze logistics data using Excel and other business systems.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, import/export coordination, inventory control, or a related field.
  • Experience managing international shipments and working with overseas suppliers.
  • Familiarity with ocean freight, air freight, and domestic transportation processes.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general business software applications.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, or third-party logistics providers is preferred.
  • Exposure to import compliance or customs documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Additional Details:
  • Fully onsite position.
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 AM-4:30 PM.
  • Reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
