Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Buyer / Production Planner is responsible for planning and executing purchasing and production planning activities to support on-time customer delivery. This role manages purchase orders, confirms and tracks supplier delivery dates, and develops production schedules for various departments aligned with customer demand and available capacity. All production planning and purchasing tasks will be done by this role in a growing and dynamic business. This is an on-site position in Georgetown, Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, issue, and manage purchase orders to approved suppliers Confirm supplier delivery dates and proactively follow up on open orders Communicate delivery updates, delays, and risks to internal stakeholders Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements Monitor production capacity, material availability, and demand to adjust schedules as needed Coordinate with operations to ensure alignment between the plan and execution Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate material supply to support production Complete and monitor system transactions related to purchasing, inventory, and production
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or supply chain Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills (internal and supplier-facing) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Management or related Experience with Oracle
APICS / CPIM
certification Experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC machining and assembly.
