Job description About the Role The Material Planner will oversee material planning and inventory management processes for our new Austin facility, serving as a key founding member of our supply chain operations. This role will establish and optimize material flow systems, manage supplier relationships, and lead the Material & Planning team to support our production operations from startup through full-scale manufacturing. Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility to the processes within Material & Planning.
  • Daily/weekly EDI releasing and track with material supplier and transportation suppliers.
  • Lead and coordinate work in the function according to department requirements and guidelines.
  • Continuously improve and develop processes which related to forecast, Inventory management.
  • Drive supplier delivery performance improvement together with purchase team.
  • Utilize efficiently of the human resources in own area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for performance review in Material & Planning Team.
  • Other tasks assigned by Head of Supply Chain/Logistic Management Qualifications Required
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in material planning, preferably in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems and MRP/ERP software
  • Proven track record managing supplier relationships and improving delivery performance
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in inventory optimization and forecasting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field
  • Experience in automotive tier 1 or tier 2 supplier environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin
  • Experience with startup or greenfield operations
