Production Controller Job Purpose:

Our Carrollton facility is looking for a Production Controller to be in charge of overseeing our IMS manufacturing operations, ensuring the workflow adheres to the quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Responsible for developing demand intake for production and contributing to the creation of the END item supply plan in the MRP Reviews the production plan with Manager weekly to understand changes, review capacity loads, and materials plans/risks Updates Oracle, or other database, or spreadsheets for incoming and outgoing materials to ensure inventory accuracy of customer assemblies, components and overhead materials Performs cycle counts and reports metrics to management Monitors shortages in work in process and follows up with Purchasing on material availability and Stockroom to fill those shortages upon material receipt Reviews and publishes production work order status weekly. Works variances with Stockroom and closes work orders Assists production with moving released orders through the production process from department to department and to shipping Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work with general instructions on new assignments Has the authority to make responsible decisions comparable to scope of position Other job duties as needed

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years related experience Solid knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes A strong background in MRP An understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes Preferred experience with electronic multi level builds who is willing to work in a fast paced environment Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer
