The role supports production continuity, inventory accuracy, logistics efficiency, and compliance with internal standards and external regulations. Depending on the assigned specialization, the position focuses on materials handling, logistics coordination, or planning and procurement activities, while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration within Plant Manager, MP&L unit located in Mexico and related departments. Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Experience within manufacturing, logistics, materials management, or supply chain operations. Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management principles, Ability to work cross-functionally with production, logistics, and purchasing teams. Analytical mindset with problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Experience working with ERP or MRP systems (QAD or similar preferred). Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, and compliance with safety and internal procedures. BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
Functions / Key
Responsibilities Materials Supply raw materials to production lines in accordance with safety and FIFO standards. Perform material scanning and system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy. Support unloading of bulk materials and internal material movements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas. Provide operational support across different areas within the Materials department. Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting loads of 44 lbs. as required. Logistics (Logistics Specialist Scope) Track shipments, communicate delivery status, and ensure on-time performance. Ensure compliance with customs, transportation, security, and logistics regulations. Generate and analyze logistics KPIs and operational reports. Create, confirm, and process dispatches, billing, and orders in ECIS. Actively collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including IKEA logistics teams. Planning & Procurement Optimize inventory levels to balance cost, availability, and operational efficiency. Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely and accurate order placement. Analyze supply chain performance and propose process improvements. Collaborate closely with production, logistics dept from Ikano MX- reporting execution of production plans. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
