POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the daily operations of Materials Management department with regards to processing and the distribution of materials and services. Ensures departments overall compliance with organizations policies and procedures.
POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelor's Degree preferred, Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or operations related focus. Experience can be considered in lieu of education, contingent on professional experience. Minimum of three years' hospital supply chain experience required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
: Three to six years progressively in administrative setting of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Warehousing, and/or Project Management preferably in a healthcare setting. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally & externally. Must have computer skills and the ability to learn Materials Management and relative applications. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and relative Office applications. Must be proficient in SQL queries, and prompt to learn additional scripting Requires strong leadership, communication analytical, project management and problem-solving skills. Experience with planning and leading strategic initiatives, data analysis, and budget management. Strong reporting skills Ability to pinpoint problems and find creative and strategic solutions under tight timelines. Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedule, reflective of projects tasked and timelines.
Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data. Review and analyze gathered data to locate areas in the supply chain process to develop standardization and improvement. Analyze and manage process life cycles and initiate process improvement projects as required.
Manage vendor relationships including:
selection & performance, maintain vendor managed/consignment programs, maintain vendor compliance and rebate programs, maintain relationship management. Proactively manage changes in projects, conduct risk assessments, and devise contingency plans. Partner with clinical stakeholders in order to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery/service conditions with vendors including: market research, competitive bidding analyses & documentation, product/asset life cycle management. Gathers, analyzes, and presents information from customers, vendors, departments, and all other appropriate business areas. Maintain system integrity through item master, pricing accuracy, and procurement system resolution. Serve as liaison between Group Purchasing Organization, Supply Chain, and clinical stakeholders through contract engagement and analyses. Actively contribute as a member of the management team by participating in in meetings, providing insight, and collaborating on problem-solving initiatives. Prepare and submits requisitions relative to new stock agreements Execute strategic reporting and performance monitoring measures for leadership review Serve as back-up for department ordering, reconciliations, warranty claims, and respective corrective actions Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Working Conditions :
The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents. C.
