In this role, you will oversee the coordination and management of logistics operations, ensuring the seamless movement of goods from suppliers to customers. Your expertise will support efficient warehouse distribution, transportation planning, and inventory control, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in supply chain management, process improvement, and data analysis, with a focus on optimizing logistics workflows and enhancing operational performance. Duties Coordinate transportation management activities, including freight scheduling, dispatching, and fleet management to ensure timely delivery. Oversee warehouse operations such as receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management using warehouse management systems and ERP platforms. Manage procurement processes by sourcing materials, negotiating pricing with vendors, and maintaining supplier relationships. Implement process improvements to streamline logistics workflows, reduce costs, and enhance service levels across supply chain functions. Monitor inventory levels through demand planning and inventory control techniques to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and AS400 or similar platforms for transportation planning and data analysis. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for freight forwarding, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) services, and shipping & receiving activities. Ensure compliance with packaging standards, materials handling protocols, and safety regulations within warehouse environments. Conduct regular audits of inventory accuracy using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools and warehouse experience best practices. Support category management initiatives by analyzing logistics data to optimize sourcing strategies and reduce costs. Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics such as shipping & receiving efficiency, order fulfillment rates, and supply chain analytics. Experience Minimum of three years' experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations within a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent platforms. Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), freight forwarding processes, and demand planning methodologies. Experience with procurement activities including sourcing, pricing negotiations, and vendor management. Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts and familiarity with shipping regulations related to NVOCC operations. Proven ability to analyze logistics data for process improvement opportunities using data analysis skills. Familiarity with e-commerce logistics workflows and category management principles is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
