We are currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive our day-to-day operations of company-owned and non-owned assets in a safe and efficient manner. Attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and excellent organizational skills are important qualifications for this position. As a strong communicator and self-starter, you will make it your mission to deliver safe and efficient operational excellence. About the Role The Warehouse Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery of materials for our customers by optimizing origins, destinations and carriers and providing effective solutions. Will be responsible for communication of plans to both owned and non-owned assets. The Logistics Coordinator position must understand and maintain company compliance with DOT requirements. This is a very fast-paced position that requires coordination of trucks and product to ensure client has right product at the right site at the right time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Understands and adheres to all company, federal and state rules, policies and safety regulations. Will be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays and nights as required for the position. Key responsibilities
Operational Excellence:
Continuously improving transportation processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and safety while minimizing costs Plans for distribution of product from origination point to customer location to include analysis of shift changes, tracking and reporting status of trucks, communicating and resolving operational and/or supply constraints. Communicates with warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery of product Coordinates with third party dispatch and drivers to ensure timely delivery of product.
Logistics Coordination:
Collaborating with transportation and logistics teams to optimize delivery schedules and transportation routes
Health and Safety:
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety
Performance Metrics:
Setting and monitoring KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve operational goals
Vendor Relations:
Coordinating with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolving any issues that may arise
Technology Utilization:
Implementing and leveraging transportation management systems (TMS) and other technology tools to enhance operational efficiency
Continuous Improvement:
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and leading initiatives to implement them
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Proven experience (3-5 years) in dispatching or similar roles within the logistics industry Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and collaborate with teams effectively Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities In-depth knowledge of trucking operations, inventory management, and logistics Ability to formulate solutions under pressure Proficiency in using transportation management systems and related software (Trinium TMS experience a plus) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in trucking operations Ability to speak Spanish is preferred Work Environment This position is based in our warehouse office.
