Position Overview The Equipment Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient movement, tracking, and management of tools, equipment, vehicles, trailers, materials, and supplies across warehouse operations and project sites. This role serves as a key link between field operations, warehouse personnel, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure critical resources are available when and where they are needed. The Equipment Logistics Coordinator maintains inventory accuracy, manages purchasing activities for tools and consumable supplies, coordinates freight and transportation services, and ensures all logistics records are current and accurate. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Required Technical Skills High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum one (1) year of experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, supply chain, or a related operational environment. Experience maintaining inventory records and monitoring stock levels. Ability to coordinate shipments, deliveries, and transportation activities. Experience ordering materials, tools, equipment, or supplies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills with a high level of accuracy. Ability to maintain detailed tracking logs and logistics documentation. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, carriers, and field personnel. Preferred Experience / Qualifications Experience supporting construction, engineering, utility, industrial, or field-service operations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, or ERP systems. Experience coordinating freight, trucking, or third-party transportation services. Knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor coordination, and inventory replenishment practices. Understanding of safety procedures related to warehouse operations, material handling, and transportation logistics. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory levels for safety supplies, consumables, tools, and other frequently used materials. Conduct routine inventory reviews and stock checks to identify shortages and initiate replenishment activities. Order tools, equipment, and supplies while ensuring compliance with company purchasing procedures. Coordinate transportation and freight services for the movement of tools, vehicles, trailers, equipment, and materials between warehouses, vendors, and project sites. Obtain transportation quotes, select carriers, schedule shipments, and track deliveries through completion. Maintain detailed order and shipment logs, proactively resolving delays, discrepancies, and delivery issues. Create, process, and distribute accurate pick tickets to support warehouse fulfillment activities. Maintain current and accurate records related to inventory, purchasing, shipments, transportation, and logistics operations. Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities. Coordinate returns, equipment recovery, and material transfers as needed. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures while supporting the safe handling, storage, and transportation of materials and equipment. Collaborate with warehouse personnel, project teams, and vendors to support operational efficiency and project execution. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
