This role plays a key part in ensuring projects run efficiently by analyzing costs, supporting material procurement, and helping resolve field-related issues. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and resourceful, with the ability to assess on-site conditions, support decision-making, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Key Responsibilities Cost Analysis & Estimating Support Review and analyze subcontractor quotes for accuracy, completeness, and cost-effectiveness Assist with lumber take-offs and material quantity calculations Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and scope standards Field Support & Problem Solving Assess construction field conditions and assist in identifying practical, timely solutions Analyze field issues and coordinate with internal teams to ensure resolution Support communication between field teams, vendors, and management Procurement & Materials Management Order materials in alignment with project timelines and budgets Track deliveries and ensure materials are received accurately and on schedule Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve order discrepancies Subcontractor & Vendor Relations Build and maintain professional relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Communicate expectations clearly and follow up on performance, timelines, and deliverables Assist in sourcing and vetting new subcontractors as needed Selections & Project Coordination Complete and manage selections for units (finishes, materials, fixtures, etc.) in accordance with project specifications Ensure selections are documented accurately and communicated to relevant teams Support overall project coordination to keep construction timelines on track Qualifications Experience in construction, estimating, purchasing, or a related field preferred Understanding of construction materials, methods, and terminology (including lumber take-offs) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction/project management software is a plus Ability to read and interpret construction plans is preferred
