- Full-time Job Summary The Outbound Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all outbound shipping activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient order processing and delivery.
This office-based role serves as a communication link between warehouse staff, carriers, customers and internal departments while maintaining shipping documentation, scheduling, and inventory accuracy. Duties Coordinate daily outbound shipments by collaborating with warehouse teams, transportation providers, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, manifests, and carrier paperwork. Communicate with carriers, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding shipment status and delivery schedules. Monitor shipping deadlines to ensure on time departures and customer satisfaction. Verify order accuracy prior to shipment and resolve discrepancies Schedule carrier appointments and dock times Maintain accurate records of outbound shipments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system Track shipments and provide updates to customers and management as needed Work closely with inventory, receiving, and customer service teams to resolve shipping issues Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations Assist with reporting, data entry, and KPE tracking related to outbound operations Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and logistics operations. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or logistics coordination with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms. Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight forwarding (including NVOCC), shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management practices. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining strong attention to detail.
