In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products across our operations. Your expertise will help optimize warehouse distribution, transportation management, procurement processes, and supply chain analytics, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and inventory control. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and materials handling. Utilize supply chain management systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track and optimize logistics operations. Conduct data collection and analysis using tools like SQL and Tableau to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvements. Oversee procurement activities including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Plan transportation routes and schedules for freight movement, including freight forwarding (NVOCC) and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Implement category management strategies to optimize stocking levels, demand planning, and inventory management across multiple warehouses. Lead efforts in process improvement initiatives related to warehouse management, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and overall supply chain efficiency. Support warehouse operations with mechanical knowledge such as forklift operation (certified if applicable), materials management, and safety protocols. Collaborate with production planning teams using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to ensure timely order fulfillment while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Manage vendor performance through vendor management practices while ensuring compliance with contracts and service level agreements. Experience Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles with a focus on warehouse distribution, transportation planning, or procurement. Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS). Demonstrated data analysis skills using SQL, Tableau or similar tools for supply chain analytics and reporting. Knowledge of freight forwarding procedures including NVOCC operations and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination. Hands-on experience with inventory control techniques like cycle counting, demand planning, and stock replenishment strategies. Mechanical aptitude with forklift operation certification preferred; understanding of materials handling equipment is a plus. Excellent negotiation skills paired with vendor management experience to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. Ability to analyze complex problems through root cause analysis methods to develop effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
