Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to support our operations and ensure efficient production scheduling, materials planning, and coordination between departments. This individual will play a key role in helping us meet customer deadlines, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels during a period of increased demand.

Position Location:

Humble, TX In This Role You Will:

• Monitor work orders and job progress; proactively identify delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
• Make corrections to work order BOMs as needed
• Coordinate closely with production supervisors to adjust schedules based on shop floor conditions
• Create and manage visual scheduling tools (spreadsheets, whiteboards, or planning boards
• Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to align material availability with production priorities
• Lead daily or weekly production scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams
• Manage work order statuses, make corrections as necessary
• Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and demand forecasting
• Troubleshoot fulfillment or other work order related issues
• Provide feedback for ERP item master/master data corrections
• Generate and maintain planning metrics, reports, and KPIs to support operations leadership
• Assist in transitioning planning activities into a more standardized or digital format (if applicable)

Qualifications/Skills:

• 3+ years of production planning or materials scheduling experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Strong understanding of MRP systems and planning tools (experience with ERP software such as Oracle, Epicor, SAP or similar)
• Familiarity with BOMs, routing, lead times, and inventory control
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Oracle NetSuite ERP experience.
• Electrical distribution equipment manufacturing or engineered to order business

Work Environment:

This position primarily operates in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.
