6AM - 6
PM PAY:
$13.50/HR
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Wichita Falls Load Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of samples and paperwork for drivers, while maintaining detailed logs of trailer movements. This role plays a key part in a 24/7 operation, requiring a dedicated and responsible individual to manage yard entry/exit and coordinate with various departments like dispatch, maintenance, and customer service regarding any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
    Driver Assistance and Sample Handling:
    • Serve drivers at the window, ensuring they receive the correct samples and associated paperwork.
    • Accurately log samples entering and leaving the facility.
    • Verify load information before providing samples to drivers and before placing samples in the refrigerator.
    • Properly store lab samples at the bottom of the refrigerator for later shipment.
    Yard Management and Security:
    • Manage entry and exit into the yard, ensuring all on-duty drivers and unknown persons check in with the load coordinator.
    • Maintain control of the outbound and inbound gates, keeping them closed unless vehicles are entering or exiting.
    • Report any gate malfunctions promptly.
    Trailer Tracking and Logistics:
    • Maintain accurate trailer logs, documenting all equipment entering and leaving the yard, including both empty and loaded trailers (using separate logs).
    • Conduct a singular yard check at the beginning of your shift.
    • Compare yard check data with maintenance reports to identify trailers needing "Out of Service" status.
    • Cross-reference yarmEDICALd checks against other trailer logs for accuracy.
    Qualifications:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented and accurate in logging and record-keeping.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
    • Familiarity with basic computer operations and email communication.
    • Knowledge of logistics and transportation is a plus.
