Transition Assistance Program Clerk Akicita Federal, LLC - 1.0 Clearfield, UT Job Details $39,520 - $41,600 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Outlook Spreadsheets Microsoft Teams Video conferences (communication methods) Grammar Experience Video conferencing systems operation Full Job Description Akicita Federal is hiring a Program Clerk to support separating and retiring service members through the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) at the Military & Family Readiness Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. In this role, you will be the administrative backbone of a program that helps service members successfully navigate one of the most significant transitions of their lives. You will keep scheduling, data, and front-desk operations running smoothly so counselors and instructors can focus on delivering mission-critical support. Schedule TAP courses and workshops for separating and retiring service members, coordinating calendars across staff and participants to ensure timely enrollment and attendance. Perform accurate data entry and maintain program records to track course completion and compliance for all participants. Provide front-desk customer service as the first point of contact for service members and their families visiting the M&FRC, directing inquiries and creating a welcoming environment. Draft, format, and manage professional correspondence, spreadsheets, and calendar schedules in accordance with Air Force writing standards. Set up and manage virtual classroom environments through Microsoft Teams to support both in-person and remote course delivery. Monitor and update tracking systems to ensure accurate, up-to-date records of participant progress and program milestones. Execute mission-essential administrative duties remotely as directed during base closures, elevated health protection conditions, or severe weather events. Minimum of 6 months of administrative, scheduling, or data entry experience Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for correspondence, spreadsheet management, and calendar scheduling Demonstrated ability to produce written materials with accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation Ability to set up and navigate virtual classroom environments using Microsoft Teams Basic understanding of military protocol and Air Force/Department of the Air Force (DAF) terminology Ability to work on-site at Hill AFB, UT (routine telework is not authorized; remote capability required for emergency situations only) What sets candidates apart: Prior administrative experience in a military, federal government, or equivalent corporate environment Familiarity with the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) or other military family support programs Experience supporting scheduling or data management in a high-volume, customer-facing setting Comfort working in a fast-paced environment serving a diverse population of active-duty service members and their families Prior experience on or around a military installation, with working knowledge of installation access procedures and base culture About Akicita FederalAkicita Federal is a Native American-owned federal contractor delivering healthcare, clinical, IT, and program-support services across the Indian Health Service, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and other federal agencies.
