The Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Analyst will support Department of War (DoW) supply chain, industrial base, and logistics initiatives by conducting comprehensive all-source risk assessments across suppliers, parts, materials, programs, and industrial sectors. The analyst will evaluate critical risks including financial health, foreign ownership and control (FOCI), manufacturing capacity, quality performance, cybersecurity, geopolitical exposure, and continuity of supply. This position involves gathering and analyzing data to enable proactive industrial base decision-making. The work strengthens the defense industrial base, reduces supply chain vulnerabilities, and supports sustainment and production objectives for critical national security capabilities. Responsibilities LMI is seeking a skilled SCRM Analyst - All-Source Supply Chain Risk at a client site in Arlington VA:
Key Responsibilities include: Conduct all-source supply chain risk assessments covering financial, FOCI, capacity, quality, geopolitical, operational, and industrial base risks
Perform supplier and sub-tier mapping for priority PAE-MS programs, identifying single-source dependencies, foreign ownership concerns, and other critical supply chain risks
Assess vendor health and analyze potential impacts to PAE-MS program execution
Develop industrial base and supply chain assessments, studies, market surveys, supplier profiles, and analytical reports to inform DoD and internal PAE-MS decision-making
Provide rapid, data-driven support to deal teams for strategic sourcing, industrial base investments, production capacity expansion, and acquisitions, including timely assessments of mergers, acquisitions, ownership changes, and other significant market events
Supply market intelligence to support engagement with industry partners and drive strategic sourcing decisions
Deliver on-demand industrial base and SCRM assessments to CPEs and program offices, including identification of alternate suppliers, emerging vendors, potential mitigation strategies, and resolution of issues impacting cost, schedule, or performance
Regularly review, assess, and monitor industrial base trends, supplier performance indicators, market conditions, and risk reports; develop and recommend actions to resolve or mitigate emerging industrial base or supply chain issues
Conduct manufacturing readiness, technology readiness, and supply base assessments, focusing on emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, biomanufacturing, critical materials, and other priority technology areas
Utilize supply chain analysis tools, structured analytic methods, and diverse data sources (government and commercial) to identify at-risk suppliers, constrained parts, single points of failure, and potential disruption impacts
Perform data analysis to identify risk patterns, supplier dependencies, production bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and mitigation opportunities
Prepare executive-level briefings, portfolio dashboards, decision memoranda, and reports to inform senior DoD and PAE-MS leaders, program offices, and stakeholders, translating complex analytics into actionable recommendations
Develop and present strategic insights to inform PAE-MS priorities, investment decisions, and resource allocation
Coordinate with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to validate findings, gather information, and support the execution of recommended courses of action
Contribute to the cultivation of a cooperative and collaborative work environment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, national security, engineering, data analytics, or a relevant technical field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain risk management, industrial base analysis, technology assessments, logistics, acquisition support, intelligence analysis, or a comparable field
Demonstrated experience conducting supplier, market, industrial base, or all-source risk assessments
Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and research skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise findings, risk statements, and actionable recommendations
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting executive-level briefings and reports
High energy, enthusiasm, tact, and proven ability to interact effectively with senior executives across government and industry
Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain a collaborative work environment
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing work priorities, and manage multiple tasks
Willingness to travel on occasion
Active Secret security clearance required
U.S. citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD, defense industrial base, acquisition, logistics, sustainment, or supply chain resilience initiatives within a government or highly regulated industry
Familiarity with FOCI, CFIUS, GIDEP, defense industrial base supplier risk concepts, critical materials, sole-source suppliers, foreign dependencies, and counterfeit risk assessment
Demonstrated experience conducting supplier and sub-tier mapping, identifying single-source and foreign-ownership concerns, and performing industrial base assessments to identify critical supply chain risks
Experience supporting strategic sourcing, production capacity expansion, and providing rapid assessments of ownership events, including mergers, acquisitions, and market changes affecting the industrial base
Experience with market intelligence, competitive analysis, and support for industry engagement activities
Experience delivering high-impact briefings, dashboards, and strategic insights to inform executive-level investment and resource allocation decisions
Proficiency using supply chain mapping, supplier risk assessment, business intelligence, or data visualization tools
