Emprise Corporation is hiring a Logistics Specialist/Ship Maintenance Support to work out of our Chesapeake, Virginia office. As a Logistics Specialist, you'll be joining an elite team of subject matter experts supporting Military Sealift Command's Ship Maintenance Support Program providing a full range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services to ships operating worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Research and track material identified by Principal Port engineers as Maintenance Repair Parts. Perform technical edit screening on all material or service order requests. Research, track, and validate requisitions and material required to support ship mission, repair, ashore allowances, and shipboard allowance requirements. Maintain inventory accuracy of all assigned MSC vessels. Perform task administration, team training and quality assurance. Perform technical writing, developing, editing, reviewing and formatting trainee and desk guides.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 5 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience fleet sustainment logistics support services to fleet vessels of the
MSC, U.S.
Navy, or U.S. Coast Guard. Experience with MSC specific programs (SAMM and CMLS) will be extremely beneficial. Highly proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel. Experience with ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing any of the following systems: MSC/Navy/Coast Guard/Commercial databases/systems as well as One Touch Supply LogiQuest or Haystack and FedMall. Ability to travel local, domestic, and internationally when required. (Up to 10% of the time) Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
