Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics & Customer Service Specialist in Danville, VA, a region known for its rich tobacco manufacturing heritage. This role will support customer order fulfillment, logistics coordination, and supply chain operations for a leading tobacco manufacturer. Position Summary The Logistics & Customer Service Specialist is responsible for coordinating customer orders, shipments, and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of finished goods. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers, internal departments, and transportation providers while supporting inventory management, export processes, and supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, internal departments, transportation providers, and other stakeholders. Manage customer orders and ensure timely fulfillment of market requirements. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including transportation scheduling, tracking, and issue resolution. Prepare and maintain shipping, export, and transportation documentation. Monitor inventory levels and help prevent stock shortages. Manage transportation activities within SAP, including order processing, delivery monitoring, and invoice validation. Support export operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize freight planning and logistics performance. Coordinate tax stamp requirements and related compliance activities. Assist with transportation forecasting, logistics planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in logistics, customer service, supply chain, international trade, or a related environment. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with SAP is preferred. Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM #DHIR26
