Fairfax EggBank, a subsidiary of the Genetics & IVF Institute, is seeking a full-time Laboratory Logistics Specialist to join our team at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities Include Coordinate inbound and outbound frozen egg shipments to affiliated laboratories and clinics Prepare, pack, receive, and process 35 lb. cryogenic shipping containers on a daily basis Verify shipping documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of shipment records Manage and track inbound and outbound FedEx shipments and related logistics Perform inventory tracking, reconciliation, and documentation of incoming shipments and supplies Support QA/QC procedures and daily maintenance of shipping containers Maintain accurate records, logs, and filing systems in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements Monitor and manage shipping supply inventory levels Communicate effectively with internal departments, laboratories, clinics, and shipping vendors Prioritize and manage time-sensitive shipments in a fast-paced laboratory environment Follow SOPs and regulatory procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and accuracy Assist with additional operational and administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications Associate's degree in a science-related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered 0-1 year of experience in laboratory operations, logistics, shipping coordination, inventory management, or other regulated environments preferred Previous experience with laboratory logistics, specimen handling, cryogenic storage, medical shipping, inventory tracking, or supply management is strongly preferred Familiarity with inventory management or tracking systems, including NetSuite or similar platforms, is a plus Ability to safely lift and move 35 lb. shipping containers on a daily basis required Must be comfortable working around liquid nitrogen and in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory environment Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing operational needs Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy required due to the FDA-regulated nature of the facility Ability to follow SOPs, written instructions, and quality control procedures consistently and accurately Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining strong communication within a team environment Dependability, professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills required This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within a fast-paced healthcare and laboratory environment.
