Position Description The Senior Material Planner is responsible for managing complex material planning activities to support efficient and reliable supply chain operations. This role involves analyzing demand trends, optimizing inventory levels, and partnering with suppliers, production teams, and logistics to ensure materials are available to meet production and customer commitments. Individual will have the responsibility of monitoring the sales forecast in conjunction with inventory levels to ensure both align without overly exceeding desired level of material. This position requires leadership ability, strong use of MRP knowledge to drive correct behaviors, strong analytical skills, knowledge of supply chain principles, and the ability to drive improvements across planning processes. Industry certifications are preferred. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and execute material planning strategies that align with production forecast, prototype build, and customer demand.
- Lead junior planners in inventory management strategies and driving improvement.
- Utilize forecasting tools, ERP/MRP systems, and analytics to manage inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete materials.
- Collaborate and negotiate with suppliers to optimize delivery schedules, reduce lead times, and improve supply reliability.
- Support with cycle counting as required and lead initiatives to ensure accuracy in consumption of materials.
- Conduct meetings with internal and external individuals to align on delivery and execution of material
- Support and contribute to cost reduction, process improvement, and continuous improvement projects across the supply chain.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and industry best practices.
