Build Your Career with Liesfeld Contractor We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support civil construction projects across the Greater Richmond, VA region. This role is focused on coordinating jobsite logistics to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic, equipment, materials, and personnel. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining traffic patterns, setting up safety and staging zones, and supporting the flow of work across multiple crews and trades. This position is essential to maintaining jobsite safety, minimizing congestion, and keeping operations running smoothly and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in construction or field-based logistics, with a strong understanding of jobsite operations, safety practices, and material movement. This individual should be highly organized, safety-focused, and able to think ahead to prevent delays or conflicts. Success in this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, vendors, and multiple trades in a fast-paced, active construction environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily jobsite logistics to support safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment, and personnel Assist in establishing and maintaining safe traffic patterns on active construction sites, including routing trucks and equipment Set up and manage designated safety zones, staging areas, and controlled access points to minimize risk and congestion Coordinate the movement, delivery, and placement of materials across the job site to support workflow and productivity Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to align logistics with project schedules and sequencing Collaborate with multiple trades and crews to ensure efficient site flow and prevent work area conflicts Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and truck drivers to ensure timely deliveries and proper site access Monitor jobsite conditions and proactively address logistical challenges, including congestion, delays, or safety concerns Uphold company safety standards and ensure compliance with all jobsite requirements Required Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in construction, logistics coordination, or a related field High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Logistics, or related field preferred Strong understanding of construction operations, equipment, and materials Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and vendors Proficiency with basic computer systems (email, scheduling tools, spreadsheets) Valid Virginia driver's license Physical Requirements Ability to work in all weather conditions Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity Ability to walk, stand, and navigate uneven terrain and active construction sites as needed Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 pounds Ability to work safely in proximity to heavy equipment, traffic, and active construction operations Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety vest, boots, and eye/ear protection Why Join Us Work on meaningful infrastructure and site development projects across the Greater Richmond, VA region.
