Staunton, VA Job Summary:
Candidates must be responsible for understanding all joint use policies, procedures, and agreements. They need to verify proper use of the NJUNS system by conducting QA audits and through independent ticket creation, as well as providing guidance and oversight on Joint-Use deployment projects. It's essential that candidate has previous experience in Telecommunication construction and/or Electric Distribution Design to assist with costs, construction practices, and engineering design.
Key Responsibilities:
Networks and develops relationships with key stakeholders and acts as the liaison between company and joint-use partners regarding permits, inspections, quality assurance surveys, rebuilds, attachment agreements, NESC interpretation, and Company policy. Responds to and addresses inquiries, concerns, complaints, and safety violations related to Joint Use facilities. Reviews pole attachments with cable television, telephone, and telecommunication companies. Responsible for staying informed and up-to-date on new technologies, rulings, and legislation that impact the Joint Utility industry. Assists with the development of new policies, procedures, and equipment standards related to these evolving technologies, trends, and FCC requirements. Consults with all levels of Management and provides support with Joint Use related issues.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of directly related hands-on experience in a similar role/position. Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred. 5 years of applicable experience in electric or telecommunication fields will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of a high school diploma is required. Understanding of Electric Distribution Construction and Design, cost estimating, and NESC code requirements. Working knowledge of cable television, telephone, and telecommunication companies' operations and interaction with electric utilities.
