Full Job Description Responsibilities :
This is a logistics support position, specializing in Hardware Procurement and Inventory Management. Support a wide range of hardware procurement, inventory management, and other logistics support, to include working with approved hardware suppliers to obtain quotes, availability, and other supplier information and then managing received hardware. Duties include using various databases to locate possible sources, and engaging with systems such as Navy- Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) to track purchase progress and support inventory management. Support the government team to insert proposed purchases into RAPIDS to begin procurement, and track progress. The position will create and maintain material equipment lists, manage the creation and flow of 1149 forms, and support various Supply activities. The position will use various Operating Material& Supplies (OM&S) systems for tracking General Equipment, and support periodic audits of inventory, as per designated audit cycles.
Education :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Allowable Substitution :
An Associates degree from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, with four (4) years of relevant experience; OR a high school diploma or equivalent with six (6) years of relevant experience.
Experience :
Three (3) years of experience that includes researching available and approved supplier sources to obtain quotes, assess market availability, warranty information, delivery timelines, etc. on hardware that the U Navy wishes to procure. The position will require experience with frequent interaction with government and commercial suppliers. Required experience also includes using inventory management systems to track available hardware, inform government team members of procurement progress and available inventory. The selectee should be familiar with various sources of Navy hardware procurements, and typical inventory management systems used in the US Navy workspace.
Other :
An Active Secret Security Clearance is required. Preferred qualifications include Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Logistics-based certifications. This position is on-site Monday-Friday.
