GlobalFoundries is seeking a skilled and motivated logistics technician to develop, implement, and support the Manufacturing Engineering Solution (MES) Team for Fab 9, in Essex Junction, Vermont. This position is being developed to assist in productivity improvements for semiconductor equipment, which is accomplished by enabling higher equipment availability and a reduction in spending. This position is in a 200mm Factory in Essex Junction, Vermont. This is a normal schedule (5x2, Monday-Friday position) but will require flexibility across all shifts to obtain the results the fabricator requires. A successful MES Logistics Technician is self-motivated and must work effectively in team or individual situations; demonstrate flexibility regarding assignments, overtime, and work areas.Essential Responsibilities:
Provide support to manufacturing teams by assisting with part repair submissions, maintaining accurate records, managing inventory, and updating repair status within the MES and Fab Stakeholders. Make multiple trips using a burden carrier to transport parts and materials between designated pick-up and drop-off locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Update and maintain the priority workflow sheet daily across multiple work areas to reflect current repair statuses, urgent tasks, and resource allocation. Create and place purchase orders through the GF-approved procurement system, ensuring compliance with company standards and timely acquisition of required parts. Streamline the process for incoming and outgoing repairs, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and minimal downtime for critical tools. Ensure completed repairs are packaged with precision and care, using appropriate materials and methods to protect components during handling and transit. Verify that packaging meets safety and quality standards, includes proper labeling, and supports secure delivery to the designated location without risk of damage. Oversee inventory management by ensuring components and parts are consistently available at repair benches to minimize downtime and support smooth operations. Lead and maintain 6S standards within the work areas, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and efficiency. Create and implement standard work procedures, ensuring job breakdown sheets and data are complete before returning items to stock or manufacturing teams. Collaborate with module teams to identify high-impact opportunities and convert them into measurable productivity improvements. Support the fab during critical tool-down situations by delivering high-quality repairs promptly and ensuring smooth, consistent handoffs.Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs. Ability to work independently and take initiative, while effectively performing tasks with minimal supervisionRequired Qualifications:
Education- associate degree in logistics, supply chain management or technology field, Military Equivalent, Trade Equivalent, or equivalent experience Experience
- Min of 3 years' experience Travel
- Up to 10% Strong communication skills and ability to work within a tightly coupled team. Proficient in Microsoft Office, using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Language Fluency

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with maintenance/part repair such as Mechanical assemblies, Robots Strong team player with the ability to work well within a global team. Expected Salary Range $48,200.00- $83,200.
