This position works closely with operations, purchasing, inventory, sales, and distribution teams to align output with demand while reducing waste and maintaining product quality. The ideal candidate brings strong planning judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to keep production running efficiently in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Build and update production schedules across daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes to match order volume and forecasted demand. Analyze incoming wholesale orders and revise production plans when customer needs, timing, or quantities change. Partner with production leadership to confirm staffing, equipment capacity, and ingredient availability before scheduled runs begin. Track raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to help avoid shortages, excess inventory, and unnecessary downtime. Use forecasting and inventory data to support efficient output levels and reduce product loss across bakery operations. Maintain planning documents, inventory records, and production reports with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Work with cross-functional teams to support on-time order fulfillment and smooth coordination from production through distribution. Ensure planning activities align with food safety expectations, good manufacturing practices, and company quality requirements. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000.

Working knowledge of forecasting methods and production scheduling principles. Ability to monitor and manage inventory levels for materials, packaging, and finished products. Familiarity with compliance expectations in regulated production environments, including food safety and GMP standards. Strong recordkeeping skills with the ability to maintain accurate planning and inventory documentation. Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate priorities across operations, purchasing, sales, and distribution teams. Proficiency in identifying imbalances in supply, demand, or production capacity and making timely adjustments.
