Job Description
DescriptionAs Vendor Manager
- Strategic Projects & Vendor Experience, you will drive profitability improvements across Amazon Grocery through strategic vendor programs, and business process & tool convergence, enabled by AI-powered automation.
Own and Manage:
You'll own and manage lifecycle activities from beginning to end (planning, requirements gathering, technology team partnerships, UAT planning and performance, project closing, and stakeholder engagement) for multiple projects simultaneously.Automate:
You'll work on automation projects and lead the coordination of designing processes and tools to make continual improvements in Net Profitability for the Amazon Grocery organizationImprove Processes:
You will build new processes and improve existing processes utilized by the Amazon Grocery organization to track, collect, and secure vendor funding.Consult:

A day in the life As a Vendor Manager for Strategic Projects & Vendor Experience, you'll be at the intersection of finance, technology, and vendor relationships—solving some of Amazon Grocery's most complex profitability challenges. Your day involves analyzing vendor funding data to maximize profitability and identify automation opportunities, partnering with technical teams to build scalable solutions, identifying opportunities and pathways to converging business processes and tools, and presenting strategic insights to senior leadership across One Grocery and Core Consumables. You'll leverage AI and machine learning tools to transform manual processes into automated workflows, directly impacting the entire Amazon Grocery P&L. This isn't just process improvement—it's process transformation at scale, where your solutions will touch every category team and vendor relationship across the organization. About the team The Vendor Experience team works with every part of the grocery organization in order to provide vendor negotiations, vendor engagement, and vendor funding programs that deliver the best customer experience while also continuously improving retail controllable profitability. This team provides the process, tooling, and strategic infrastructure that supports category teams across the entire grocery organization in building and maintaining strong vendor relationships and driving continuous improvement in profitability. Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work across multiple teams
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing process automation solutions using AI/ML tools and technologies to drive operational efficiency and eliminate manual workflows
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel at advanced level). Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with significant business impact
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across multiple teamsPreferred Qualifications
- Background in retail, grocery, or e-commerce operations
- Experience partnering with technical teams on tool development
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and project management tools (Asana, JIRA)
