About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Buyer/Planner to help manage purchasing, inventory, and production planning for a growing powder supplement company. This role is critical to keeping ingredients, packaging, and finished goods flowing smoothly while supporting day-to-day operations across the business. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced small company environment, can adapt quickly, and likes solving problems before they become bigger issues. Responsibilities Purchasing & Supplier Management Purchase raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies needed for production Manage supplier relationships and maintain communication regarding pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries Identify potential supply risks and help develop backup sourcing options Work with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, or quality issues Support cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives Production Planning & Inventory Management Create and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer demand Plan material requirements to support production while minimizing excess inventory Monitor inventory levels and proactively manage replenishment activities Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and planning data within ERP or inventory systems Help forecast ingredient and packaging needs based on sales trends and production plans Support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities to improve inventory accuracy Operations Support Communicate proactively with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams regarding inventory status and supply concerns Help prioritize production needs and respond to changing business demands Assist with process improvements as the company grows and scales operations Support general supply chain and operational activities as needed in a small-team environment Support compliance with GMP, FDA, and food safety requirements related to materials, inventory, and supplier management Qualifications 2+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, inventory, or supply chain Experience in manufacturing, food, supplements, nutraceuticals, or consumer packaged goods preferred Familiarity with GMP, FDA, or food safety environments preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a growing business Proficient in Excel and ERP/inventory systems (Acumatica in particular) Strong communication and follow-through skills Self-starter with a practical, problem-solving mindset What We're Looking For Someone who takes ownership and follows through Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small company Able to balance urgency with attention to detail and discipline to routines Team-oriented and adaptable

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
