Job Description

Plymouth Tube Company :
a well-established, 5th-generation family-owned manufacturer recently celebrating 100 years in business. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR leader to join our team as a Plant Human Resources Manager. This role serves as both a trusted advisor and operational partner to site leadership, aligning people initiatives with business objectives. This role collaborates closely with the Plant Manager and site leadership team. Site Planner -
Core Responsibilities:
Ensures supply of material to support demand which may include assisting in resolving shortages, assisting in allocations of limited materials, and preventing potential schedule interruptions Ensures gaps in ability to supply are addressed, scenarios established and issues appropriately escalated Works with manufacturing to help create production plans that meets inventory targets for finished goods and customer requested delivery dates Sets the weekly production schedule which is approved by mill operations Adjusts the daily production schedule based off of previous day's results and anticipated capacity requirements for the remainder of the week Analyzes schedule adherence, inventory and forecasting performance Participates in weekly S&OP, & the Supplier reviews Supports introduction of new products and product discontinuation Works cross functionally with all areas of the business, i.e.: Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning and Purchasing Leverage system settings and parameters to drive planning efficiency Manage Schedule Agreements and/or Purchase Orders for inbound finished goods and assemblies Communicates supply position to the business and performs "what if" analyses as required Maintains planning system and master data integrity Manages and controls the finished goods supply to ensure customer demand fulfillment is balanced with service, delivery and inventory Key Metric Accountability (Tracks and Owns Status) Daily schedule adherence (at the mill order level) Weekly schedule adherence (at the mill order level and in absolute feet for key plant resources) Order backlog by days past due, value, order quantity Order backlog by key resource and absolute feet Inventory turns
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or Business Management plus at least 1+ years of Supply Chain/Master Scheduling experience In discreet manufacturing. or 3+ years progressive experience in Supply Chain/Master Scheduling role with proven and documented success in lieu of a degree or Commensurate experience within a discrete manufacturing environment ASCM (APICS) certification preferred or attained within the first year in the role Additional competencies we look for : Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience a must ERP System experience Ability to work within and experience with MRP and Shop floor Control Systems Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, advanced Excel) Demonstrates proficiency in use of a computer and various programs—including Microsoft Excel. Understands how to document production goals and deviations from these goals on a regular basis. Shows the ability to understand customer demand and how to optimize production schedules to meet customer demand. Acts as a liaison between vendors, customers, laborers and other departments within the company. Works efficiently under pressure and helps motivate employees to meet demands. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability. Pay:
$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
