As part of the talented procurement team, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of purchased material within Mercury's global manufacturing and distribution facilities. The Procurement Operations Buyer partners internally within the operations team and externally with our global supply base to plan direct purchased materials, optimize inventory levels and drive continuous improvement within the supply base and Mercury operations and distribution. Operational Utilize system tools to analyze and mitigate risk to ensure proper supply chain execution to support factory and distribution needs Manage the coordination of the inbound supply chain and proactively communicate any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency Effectively manage supplier relationships to understand and work through constraints within a complex supply chain Proactively communicate delivery requirement changes to the supply base Analyze and improve supplier delivery performance, inventory cost and freight cost trade-offs Manage and drive improvement to procurement operational support metrics Maintain appropriate inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle Identify areas of improvement to capitalize on cost reduction using inventory management best practices (i.e. VMI, Pull, POC, etc.) Collaboration Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders Lead and support continuous improvement activities for Mercury processes and systems Strategic Drive execution of supplier management strategies to improve supply, cost, and risk management Identify and execute cost reduction projects within the supply chain Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:
BS/BA in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or closely related field 2+ years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement Experience with supply chain management and planning Excellent data analysis abilities and software skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI; proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Project Excellent time management and organization skills, able to comfortably manage multiple ongoing projects, prioritize and adapt in response to changing business needs Positive attitude, ethics, and international values to promote a healthy, diverse, high performance culturePreferred Qualifications:
CPM and/or CPIM certification Lean and Six Sigma certification and application experienceWorking Conditions:
Hybrid The hiring range for this position is $54,300 to $75,400 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
