At BSP, we don't just produce paper; we engineer versatile solutions. Join the foundation of our paper-making excellence as a Scheduling and Logistics Coordinator at our Ladysmith paper mill! We're looking for hardworking individuals who are ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the essential tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. As a crucial part of our team, you'll be hands-on in the production process, assisting in various aspects of paper manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Logistics Coordination Coordinate with Operations Team and Customers to manage outbound finished goods shipments using JD Edwards, Microsoft Office, and other online platforms. Monitor daily Bill of Lading (BOL) documents and transactions for outbound trucking. Work with carriers as required correcting deficiencies and provide to customers as-requested. Responsible for processing orders and all necessary paperwork, enabling warehouse Process Support to stage and complete loads. Ensure that the most cost-effective, reliable carrier is assigned to all prepaid shipments. Interface with Operations Team, Purchasing, and Sales to resolve any problems associated with scheduling and dispatching. Oversee the scheduling of customer pick-up as required. Arrange for carrier services by specifying routings and prepare and file claims for damages and overcharges. Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and company policies and procedures. Work with IT and Operations Team to ensure all shipping equipment, such as scanners and label printers, are operational. Remote access to email and phone to set up on-call shipping changes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with mill Buyer to complete storeroom inventory counts. Support monthly pulp inventory cycle counts. Receive goods paperwork into JD Edwards procurement system, as needed. Qualifications Education & Experience High School education or equivalent required. Experience in Paper Industry and/or related logistics experience preferred. Preferred Skills Working knowledge of shipping and billing procedures and distribution functions, such as load limits, preferred. Basic proficiency in
Microsoft Office:
Excel, Word, and Outlook required. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
