Job Description Summary Join GE HealthCare as a Buyer/Planner and play a critical role in delivering life-saving medical technologies to patients around the world. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Manage end-to-end materials planning activities to support manufacturing operations, ensuring supply chain alignment with production schedules, customer demand and KPIs. Execute daily purchasing strategies for assigned commodities including ordering, daily supplier engagement, delivery tracking and reporting to meet service and cost objectives. Partner cross-functionally with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to resolve supply constraints and drive continuity of supply. Analyze demand signals, forecast changes, and inventory trends to proactively mitigate risks and optimize working capital. Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out activities to ensure seamless material availability. Ensure compliance with GE HealthCare policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, including documentation and audit readiness. Utilize ERP systems and digital tools to maintain data integrity and provide visibility into material status, risks, and opportunities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or college, or minimum of 4+ years of experience in materials planning, buying, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Desired Characteristics Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Experience in medical device or highly regulated industries.
APICS/ASCM
certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent. Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive supplier performance improvements. Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Maestro) and strong data analysis capabilities.
