Production Planner:
On behalf of our manufacturing client, Procom is searching for a Production Planner for a permanent role. This position is an onsite position at our client's Pewaukee, Wisconsin office. Production Planner
  • Job Description:
    The Production Planner will be responsible for creating and managing manufacturing schedules to optimize machine capacity, labor, and material availability. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery by coordinating with production teams, monitoring work-in-progress, and maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demands. Production Planner
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update daily/weekly production schedules for gear hobbing, shaping, grinding, and finishing operations. Maximize machine and labor efficiency by balancing workloads, managing backlogs, and adjusting for bottlenecks. Ensure necessary raw materials and tooling are available before production starts. Monitor high-profile jobs and adjust schedules for unforecasted demand or customer changes. Monitor inventory levels and maintain data integrity within the MRP/ERP system. Act as the liaison between production, sales, procurement, and quality control, reporting daily on progress and issues. Production Planner•
Mandatory Skills:
Previous experience in manufacturing, specifically in CNC machining, gear cutting, or related metalworking industries. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office products. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with shop floor personnel and management. Ability to quickly re-schedule jobs in response to equipment failures or raw material shortages. High school diploma required. Production Planner
  • Nice-to-Have Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or industrial engineering. Experience working with vendors on quality and price. Familiarity with gear manufacturing processes. Production Planner
