Job Description

Supply Chain PlannerPosition Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to manage inventory, drive MRP planning and scheduling, and ensure timely availability of materials to meet production and customer demand. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate master data and supplier setups in the ERP, coordinating procurement and production schedules, and using Excel, Access and inventory/MRP software to analyze forecasts, optimize stock levels and resolve supply disruptions.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain short
  • and mid-term production and procurement plans using MRP and inventory management systems to meet customer requirements and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Run and monitor MRP planning cycles, adjust parameters and exception messages, and take corrective action to align supply with demand.

Create and maintain production and purchase schedules in coordination with manufacturing, procurement and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

Manage supplier setups and master data in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy of lead times, lot sizes, minimum order quantities and supplier contact information.

Maintain and reconcile inventory records across ERP and inventory software; conduct cycle counts and support periodic physical inventories.

Use Excel and Access to prepare analyses, create reports and dashboards (including KPIs such as inventory turns, fill rate and on-time delivery) and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with demand planners, procurement, operations and quality teams to resolve shortages, expedite orders and implement corrective actions for recurring supply issues.

Evaluate supplier performance, raise and follow up on purchase orders, and support supplier communication for order confirmations, changes and transport issues.

Document planning processes, maintain standard operating procedures and train stakeholders on tools and best practices to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management or related field (or equivalent work experience).3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, materials planning or production scheduling in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Proven proficiency with Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros desirable) and Microsoft Access for data manipulation and reporting.

Hands-on experience with MRP software and inventory management systems; ability to run planning scenarios and interpret exception messages.

Experience with ERP systems including supplier master data setup and transactional processing (experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar preferred).Strong understanding of inventory management principles, safety stock calculations, lead time management and demand-supply balancing.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate cross-functionally and manage supplier relationships.

APICS/CPIM, CSCP or other supply chain certifications are a plus.
