Supply Chain / Import-Export Specialist We are seeking a Supply Chain / Import-Export Specialist to support and guide our North American business to navigate trade tariffs, developing and implementing logistics strategies, and providing operational and regulatory guidance. This individual will play a key role in ensuring compliant, cost-effective and efficient cross-border and international trade operations. Key Responsibilities Leadership/Internal Guidance Internal center of excellence and knowledge on trade compliance, logistics process and requirements as well as regulatory development and changes Develop, document, and maintain standardized logistics workflows and best practices across NA plants Train, develop and coach internal staff on domestic and international customs and shipping documentation and procedures Point person for process development/execution and liaison with suppliers and shippers/brokers and where required legal advisors/support with respect to import/export of materials/products and equipment/molds/spares Monitor global trade and market trends to identify and mitigate risk and opportunities Ensure all import and export transactions comply with applicable customs and trade regulations (USMCA, CBSA, US CBP, EAR, ITAR, sanctions, etc.) Classify products using HS/HTS codes and determine country of origin Tariff's Support and guide the business on all tariff-related activities and assessments and develop concrete actions/processes as needed to manage and mitigate impacts from purchases and supplies Actively monitor legislative and regulatory developments and where required, lead internal teams to understand and manage business impacts Act as a liaison with external advisors, custom brokers, legal consul and trade partners Develop and implement best-practice workflows and processes that minimize tariff exposure and risk Transportation Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and couriers Recommend and allocate carriers to ensure all domestic and international freight meets service level requirements and cost competitiveness Analyze freight spend and implement cost-reduction and duty-optimization initiatives Define, implement, and track logistics and KPIs that support customer requirements and internal logistics objectives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, import/export, or international trade compliance, preferably within a manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of North American and international regulations, includingCBSA, U.S., CBP, HS/HTS
classification, country of origin determination and free trade agreements Demonstrated experience managing tariff-related activities, duty mitigation strategies and regulatory changes impacting cross-border trade Experience with domestic and international transportation operations- Hands-on experience coordinating domestic and international transportation, including carrier selection, freight forwarding, and customs brokerage
- Proven ability to analyze freight spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement logistics and duty-optimization initiatives
- Experience developing standardized processes, documentation, and best practices across multiple sites or business units
- Ability to train, coach, and influence internal stakeholders across operations, procurement, and finance
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
