Full Job Description Job Summary:
As a Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA) Engineer, you will spearhead public road data collection efforts directly from the field. You will collaborate with cross-functional durability teams to identify optimal data collection locations and streamline data-sharing processes. This role is vital in ensuring the high performance and reliability of sustainable mobility solutions. Responsibilities
    Field Leadership:
    Lead on-site public RLDA initiatives to capture high-quality durability data.
      DAQ System Management:
      Configure and operate a Data Acquisition (DAQ) system specifically for public road load profiles.
        Vehicle Data Interface:
        Setup and record onboard vehicle data (e.g. CAN) and integrate it with external sensors.
          Logistics & Navigation:
          Manage field logistics including vehicle charging, site access, and hub coordination while safely navigating and driving test vehicles across diverse regions of the country.
            Data Management:
            Daily data integrity checks and uploading data to central servers.
              Documentation:
              Maintain accurate records of instrumentation deployment, wiring schematics, calibration certificates, and troubleshooting logs.
                Collaboration:
                Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to maintain productivity during long-term, collaborative field assignments. Qualifications
                • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, materials engineering, or a related field.
                • 2+ years of experience in data collection and cleanup; specific experience in durability testing is highly preferred.
                • Experience with common commercial data acquisition hardware and software; Preferred experience with Mars Labs.
                • Experience with vehicle instrumentation setup and troubleshooting, experience with WFTs is a plus.
                • Familiarity with Electric Vehicle (EV) safety protocols and high-voltage systems.
                • Experience with cleaning and performing analysis with nCode or similar programs on collected data.
                • Proven track record of problem-solving and independent root cause analysis and the ability to work effectively in small team environments.
                • Must possess a clean driving record. Working Conditions
                • Travel up to 100%
                • 6 month contract
                • May require lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
                • Must be comfortable working inside a vehicle for extended periods while traversing rough terrain or various road surfaces.
                • Flexibility to work occasional overtime or off-shifts to support critical testing schedules.
                Pay:
                $54.00
