Logistics Operations Engineer Location:
Tupelo What are your main tasks? Develops short and long-term strategy to support customer requirements Planning and coordination: organizing the shipment of goods from origin to destination, considering factors like transit times, cost, and legal requirements.Documentation:
Handling shipping documents, customs paperwork and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete. Transportation management system - support system implementation and roll out. Actively search and implementation of new carrier/lanes in cooperation to reduce cost and improve quality and delivery.Problem-solving:
Addressing and resolving any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or other logistical problems. Claim management.Tracking and monitoring:
monitoring shipments in transit, updating on status, and resolving any issues that arise. What are your qualifications? Bachelor Degree - ideally in international business, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or another related field A minimum of 1 year in a similar role Strong understanding of the carrier business, both domestic and international (especially Ohio and Mississippi) Automotive industry experience required Ability to support multiple plants when necessary. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed - approximately every couple months, based on business needs.
